Lydia Ferguson
I am a qualified Sports Massage Therapist, Reflexologist, Cranial Massage Therapist and Kundalini Yoga Teacher. I started my career in sports physio clinics spending three years helping athletes as they strive to achieve peak performance. Following this I began working in neuro physio where I worked in the rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injuries, where we would take a single muscle group and work on it for around an hour helping it to function to the best of its ability. This practice gave me a true understanding of how each muscle group functioned and its connection to the rest of the body. During this time, I developed a keen interest in the connection between the body and mind which inspired me to train in Kundalini yoga. I have a passion for treating people holistically, not just focusing on one particular area. This means treating both physical and mental well-being. By using a combination of sports massage and deep relaxation techniques, I then work with the individual to look at small changes that can be made in their lifestyle to enhance mental well-being along with physical vitality. It was these practices and philosophies that inspired me to set up Inner Alignment, and that underpin our mission.
Testimonials
“I've played sports at various levels (international, club, socially) for 25+years. Inner Alignment has the best therapists I have ever encountered. Before seeing them I regularly missed part of the season due to various injuries and I haven't missed a tournament for the past two years. You can really feel the difference from regular treatment. They are quite simply magical.”

“I have been having weekly treatment from Inner Alignment since I started at my current job 3 years ago. I had always suffered from shoulder and neck problems that would lead to migraines and ultimately mean I would have to take time off work. Just 30 minutes massage a week with Inner Alignment has completely alleviated these issues, and transformed my quality of life.”

“I suffered from a sore neck and slouched shoulders for 20 years before I met Lydia. The tightness in my neck used to prevent me turning my head, would cause headaches on bad days, and the pain would prevent me from exercising. No amount of stretching or yoga would straighten me out. I walked out of my first session with Lydia as a new man, able to hold my neck straight and shoulders back without pain. I have been having weekly massages with Inner Alignment for 2 years now and don't view it as a luxury, but rather a necessary part of maintaining a healthy posture. I can now run and weight train daily without pain. Inner Alignments unique approach to sports massage is a perfect blend between physical therapy and a spa-like experience.”
