Day 6

Welcome to day 6!

Today we will continue to work on our Breath of Fire practice. We will also learn The One minute breath. Mastery of The One Minute Breath involves inhaling for twenty seconds, holding the breath for twenty seconds and then exhaling for twenty seconds. As beginners we will be starting with a five second inhale, a five second hold and a five second exhale and then we will be adding seconds as we progress. Remember that if the count is too long for you; ignore my count and do your own.

The One minute breath - Reduces anxiety, slows down the heart rate, focuses the mind, improves sleep, improves lung function, enhances one’s self-belief, builds stamina.

The One Minute Breath

This is one of my favourite breaths to focus the mind. Other benefits include increased stamina, reduced anxiety, decreased heart rate, improved quality of sleep and enhanced lung function.
